Financial assistance is available through the State, FEMA and other organizations. Survivors should register for all assistance programs as soon as possible as deadlines apply. Visit Seek Assistance for more information and how to apply.

Be alert for online scams falsely claiming to represent AHFC and offering disaster “grant money,” “special payouts,” or “housing funds.” 

Individuals posing as AHFC may be creating look-alike but fake assistance pages online, and/or contacting survivors directly and requesting personal information, fees, or bank details in exchange for monetary assistance.

AHFC does not use private messages on social media or third-party individuals to offer disaster relief or other emergency funds. Learn how to spot and report scams. 

Team Rubicon is coordinating the collection of new items only for donations. To donate new items, bring them to Team Rubicon at the Chugach Electric Warehouse located at 3 1120 East 1st Avenue, Anchorage, AK, daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Team Rubicon is asking that donors send their donations to the warehouse, not hand deliver them. They also recommend that people and organizations wanting to contribute to the long-term recovery of survivors donate monetarily to reputable organizations such as Team Rubicon https://teamrubiconusa.org/ or The Alaska Community Foundation https://alaskacf.org/.

As part of the State of Alaska Disaster Housing Task Force established to address immediate housing needs, AHFC is collecting information about current housing availability.
