Financial assistance is available through the State, FEMA and other organizations. Survivors should register for all assistance programs as soon as possible as deadlines apply. Visit Seek Assistance for more information and how to apply.

Be alert for online scams falsely claiming to represent AHFC and offering disaster “grant money,” “special payouts,” or “housing funds.” 

Individuals posing as AHFC may be creating look-alike but fake assistance pages online, and/or contacting survivors directly and requesting personal information, fees, or bank details in exchange for monetary assistance.

AHFC does not use private messages on social media or third-party individuals to offer disaster relief or other emergency funds. Learn how to spot and report scams. 

Individuals desiring to make donations to benefit the impacted residents are encouraged to give financially through established relief organizations such as the Alaska Community Foundation, American Red Cross of Alaska, Salvation Army, Alaska Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, and Team Rubicon.

All material donations, events, and services available for survivors of the 2025 October West Coast Storm should be directed to storm2025@ready.alaska.gov.

As part of the State of Alaska Disaster Housing Task Force established to address immediate housing needs, AHFC is collecting information about current housing availability.
